The Dublin Spike
I would have liked to have spent some more time in Dublin than the two days I had at hand. It’s a while since I’ve been in a city that felt so dynamic and on the go as Dublin. Cities which focuses a lot on their history sometimes seems a bit stagnant to me like i.e. Paris, but despite all the history which seems to be a great part of Dublin, the city seems to be looking more ahead and moving on, rather than looking back in time. I love that. I could actually feel the boost of energy and sense opportunity there. I’ll be back for more later.
We just visited Ireland for the first time, and the “Spike” of Dublin had a very sense of importance about it. This monument will stand out as a beacon to people all over the World to let everyone know that Dublin is a place to visit. There are many monuments per se like this throughout the World, The Eiffle Tower, The Seattle Space Needle, The Brandenberg Gate and many more. This is something that the Irish People should be proud of for many, many years!
Oh, by the way….I truly LOVE Guinness Beer! :o)
