I love the atmosphere in European cities during winter. When the sun is low in the sky, it gives the cityscape a warm glow, even though it’s freezing cold outside. I spent a couple of days before New Years in Amsterdam. It was pure bliss to be there. I’m going back for a long weekend in February which will be spent on a house boat. Next time I travel I have to remember to get a couple of hours for myself and just wander the streets and take photos. I feel like such a pain in the ass if I’m with friends and they have to wait for me while we are walking around, because I want to take some photos. It’s better that I go off on my own to indulge in my own interests.
