Not Exactly Thanksgiving Turkey
Pre Christmas season 2005 was officially kicked off at a wonderful lutefisk dinner this weekend. Lutefisk is cod preserved with caustic soda, which dissolves the fish’s bones and gives it a gelatinous structure. It’s a traditional Norwegian dish mostly served during Christmas. When lutefisk is well made and with the right accompanying condiments and aquavit it really tastes good. Stop making that gagging sound! It can be really good!
